Doing an AI risk assessment by hand means a spreadsheet, a framework you are half sure you are reading correctly and a lot of analyst time per system. Essentials runs the assessment for you instead. You register a system, answer what the assessment asks and Aicura generates the risk picture plus the controls that follow from it.
The assessment draws on AI6 and the NSW AI Assessment Framework, so the questions and the resulting picture map to frameworks Australian organisations already work with. What you get back is drafted for review, not filed as a verdict.

From 10 December 2026, Australian Privacy Principles 1.7 to 1.9 require your privacy policy to disclose the kinds of automated decisions that significantly affect people and the kinds of personal information used in them. Alongside the risk work, Aicura scans your privacy policy against those rules, surfaces which of your registered systems are not yet disclosed, drafts the fixes for your review and keeps the disclosure true as systems change, so the December obligation and the risk program run off the same register.

Aicura surfaces the risk picture and drafts the controls. It does not score your systems, certify them or give legal advice. It offers guidance, and the decision on each system stays with the business owner who owns it.
